All five are made from the same clay and fired in the same kiln. What differs is the die, and with it the size, the holes and the wall each block is used for.
All five blocks have these properties, because they are made from the same fired clay. Choose one to see it in the Eco Block section.
Outside
Inside
The air in the holes insulates.
The holes in the block hold still air. Heat passes through the wall more slowly, and the temperature inside stays steadier.
Less noise from outside.
The mass of the fired clay and the thin walls inside the block weaken the sound that passes through the wall.
It does not burn.
Every block has been fired in a kiln. Fired clay does not burn and does not feed a flame.
Clay, water and fire.
That is the whole recipe. The water leaves in the drying and the firing; what goes into the wall is fired clay alone.
